Welcome to the New Mercies Christian Church Fitness Challenge! We are excited to embark on this journey toward improved health and wellness together as a community. This challenge will not only encourage physical activity but also foster camaraderie and support among participants.

Partnership-Based Challenge

In this fitness challenge, we believe in the power of partnership. Participants will be paired up with fellow participants to support each other throughout the challenge. Partnering up will provide accountability, motivation, and encouragement, making the journey toward better health even more enjoyable and rewarding.

How it Works:
  • Sign-Up: To participate, simply sign up using the provided sign-up sheet. Make sure to indicate if you have a preferred partner in mind or if you’d like us to assign one for you.
  • Partner Assignment: Once sign-ups are complete, partners will be assigned based on preferences and availability. If you already have a partner, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Challenge Features:
  • Partner-Based Approach: Upon registration, participants will be paired up with a fellow church member to provide mutual support, encouragement, and accountability throughout the challenge.
  • Dedicated Fitness App: Utilize our dedicated fitness app to record steps, track physical activities, set goals, and monitor progress. The app will be your personal fitness companion, keeping you motivated and on track.
  • Daily Devotionals (February 25th – April 7th): Start your day with daily inspirational messages and scriptures sent directly to your email and app notifications. These devotionals will serve as a source of motivation and encouragement, guiding you spiritually as you pursue your fitness goals.
  • Virtual Cooking Class (March 5th): Join a live online cooking class conducted by professional chefs or nutritionists. Learn how to prepare delicious and nutritious meals that support your fitness journey.
  • Nutritional Classes (March 12th, March 19th, March 26th): Attend weekly virtual nutritional classes led by Nutritionist Lydie Charles-Mason, CHNC. Topics will include meal planning, understanding macros, and cultivating mindful eating habits to complement your fitness routine.
  • Weekly Workout Sessions (Monday – Thursday – Saturday): Engage in live virtual workout sessions led by certified trainers. These sessions will offer a variety of exercises targeting different muscle groups and fitness levels, ensuring a well-rounded fitness experience.
  • Special Fitness Challenges (Throughout the Challenge Period): Participate in weekly themed fitness challenges, including HIIT workouts, yoga sessions, spinning classes, and Zumba dance parties. These challenges will keep your workouts diverse and engaging.
  • Progress Tracking and Support (Ongoing): Use the Corporate Fitness app to track your workouts, nutrition, and overall progress. Additionally, access supportive online community forums and group chats to share experiences, tips, and motivation with fellow participants.
  • Mid-Challenge Check-In (March 18th): Join a mid-challenge virtual meeting to review progress, address challenges, and receive additional motivation to stay focused and determined.
  • Final Week Challenges and Celebrations (April 1st – April 7th): Participate in special challenges and events during the final week, including a virtual 5K run/walk, team-based challenges, and a celebratory online gathering on April 7th. Participants who achieve specific milestones will be recognized and awarded for their dedication.
