SUMMARY:Summer Bible Series ’26
DESCRIPTION:\nThis summer, join us in exploring how to let go of the old patterns or beliefs that no longer serve you and embrace a renewed sense of purpose. Click on the class name below to register.\n~~~~~~~~~~~\nVacation Bible School– Shine Brightly with Jesus\nJune 15th 6pm to 8pm in the youth building\nA VBS program designed to help children and teens see what it looks like to live as bearers of Christ’s light right where they are. Through Scripture, conversation, creativity, and worship, students learn that Jesus is our greatest hope. His resurrection assures us that nothing is beyond God’s power, and that love always has the final word.\nThis program invites students to shine through their attitudes, their choices, and the way they treat one another. As they grow in wisdom, prayer, teamwork, praise, and hope, they begin to understand that following Jesus is not just something we talk about. It is something we live.\nBook of Joshua\nchronicles God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises to Abraham. It is a book of transitions, in which Joshua rises to leadership and the people of God step across the Jordan into the long-awaited land of promise. The task of possessing the land will test the limits of their strength and their courage, but God’s covenant will not fail them. And Joshua’s faithful example will whisper toward the perfect faithfulness of Christ Himself.\nIn this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the book of Joshua, Jen Wilkin helps us see how God’s commands, though sometimes difficult, are always rooted in His steadfast love for His people. Israel’s story is our story. We battle not against flesh and blood as they did, but we courageously war against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, trusting in the finished work of the true and better Joshua, Jesus Christ.\nBook of Nehemiah\nNehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. In this 7-session Bible study by Kelly Minter, you’ll walk through the book of Nehemiah to discover real-life ways to put feet to your faith. Are you ready to let God break your heart for a hurting, lost world and move you in compassion to be the hands and feet of Jesus? Jump into this study featuring authentic Bible teaching, recipes, and a relational approach.\nThe Gospel of John\nHe is one with God the Father, a shepherd who will lead us and protect us, truth we can trust above all else, light from heaven, bread of life, a vine we can grow with, and water to satisfy our thirsty souls. Amos is often called a prophet of doom. And when you begin to read his prophecy, it doesn’t take long to realize that nickname fits. On the surface, his prophecy doesn’t sound like a happy formula for the good life. However, every condemnation he gives serves as an invitation, a cry for us to “seek God and live” (Amos 5:4). You’ll be invited to live assured, faithful, chosen, humble, justly, prayerful, and hopeful. This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.\nAmos is promoting the God life, and the God life is the good life! This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.\nJeremiah\nLearn to surrender to God’s will and rest your hope in Him alone. When we look around at today’s world, hope usually isn’t the first word that comes to mind. In many ways, we live in an unstable world where marriages fail, bank accounts run low, friendships end, and the everyday demands of a fast-paced life get us down. In the Book of Jeremiah, we find God calling out to His people with a message of hope – a message that intentional living is possible even in an unstable world. But how do we do this? Where do we start?\nBad Girls of the Bible – July 22nd\nThis is the signature book that launched Higgs’s unique brand of “girlfriend theology,” now updated with a contemporary look and with study guide included. In looking at what we can learn from biblical women gone bad through her “novel approach to Bible study,” Liz brings to life ancient stories and unforgettably reveals how timeless truths of the Bible apply to today’s woman. With more than 1 million books sold in the series, this newly repackaged edition appeals to women of all ages and stages of Christian faith.\nFinancial Peace University – July 8th and 15th\nThe Knowledge You Need to Win With Money. Financial Peace University includes nine video lessons featuring Dave Ramsey, Rachel Cruze, and Chris Hogan. Follow along in your workbook as they teach you: Lesson 1: Build a Starter Emergency Fund and Learn How to Budget Lesson 2: Pay Off All Debt Lesson 3: Save a Fully Funded Emergency Fund Lesson 4: Invest for the Future and Build Wealth Lesson 5: Buyer Beware Lesson 6: The Role of Insurance Lesson 7: Retirement Planning Lesson 8: Real Estate and Mortgages Lesson 9: Living and Giving Like No One Else Additional Course: Teach your kids to make wise financial decisions (six lessons) Additional Course: Truly live and leave a legacy for generations to come (six lessons).\n\nThe Civil Rights Movement as a Liturgical Act – June 10th and 17th\nThis class explores the Civil Rights Movement through the lens of faith, worship, and public witness.
